Santa gets taste of Hub

Globetrotter puts restaurants to test

-

Santa may love residing in his grotto in EK East Kilbride but he couldn’t resist visiting The Hub and scaling the heights of Aerial Adventures’ new climbing wall last week.

Although the wall proved a little challenging for Santa, his elves and two young shoppers made sure he made it to the top without injury.

He then went for a quick jaunt around the aerial platform before heading to sample the great range of food on offer in the new leisure development.

Having visited every country in the world for hundreds of years, he’s probably the world’s greatest foodie and here are Santa’s thoughts on the food on offer:

Bella Italia’s pasta and Pizza Express’ pizzas are as good as any he’s tasted in Rome.

Peri peri chicken from Nando’s transported him back to his summer holiday in Portugal.

Frankie & Benny’s is going to be the perfect location for the postChristmas celebratory tea with the elves.

Eating juicy burgers in Handmade Burger Co and the Filing Station reminded him of the time he had to refuel after a supersonic trip that took him from San Francisco to New York to drop off a present he’d forgotten to deliver in Manhattan.

Chiquito’s burritos are as tasty as the ones he ate in Cancun last year.

Filled to the brim with all that fantastic food, Santa headed back to his grotto, where he’ll be meeting good boys and girls right up until Christmas Eve.

If Santa’s outing to The Hub, EK has your mouth watering why not enter our competition to win a £100 gift voucher?

This week’s winner, Finlay Hunter from Westwood, will be spoiled for choice.
