Tech firm give hospice yet another cash boost

£6k raised in four years

An East Kilbride technology company are the latest firm to give a huge donation to Kilbryde Hospice.

Jackton-based CCL Design chose to support the facility by raising a huge £1500 throughout 2016.

This marks their fourth year in a row of support for the local charity.

CCL have been collecting from employees and visitors to the site — and have held a number of fundraisin­g events throughout the year.

This donation brings their total over the last four years to nearly £6000.

Lex Kellet, operations director at CCL Designs, was delighted to be able to back the charity once again.

He told the News: “CCL Design are pleased to be able to contribute to the community in which we operate, and are honoured to be associated with Kilbryde Hospice and the great work they do.”

Kilbryde Hospice provides care and support to people in Lanarkshir­e with life-limiting illnesses and extends this support to their carers and loved ones too.

The hospice has been providing care for over three years, with the day services now operating from the new building.

The day services offer a range of support to patients in the Lanarkshir­e area.

Services include informatio­n and support, complement­ary therapies including reflexolog­y, cancer support groups and relaxation classes.

Karlyn Robertson, community and events fundraiser at Kilbryde Hospice, added: “In 2017, the hospice aims to continue to offer support to those affected by life limiting illnesses and continue fundraisin­g to raise funds for the in-patient facility.”
