WIN your Valentine Dirty Dancing tickets

- Andrea O’Neill

Almost unbelievably, it’s 30 years since Patrick Swayze smouldered as Johnny in Dirty Dancing – now Vue Hamilton is sashaying back in time for a special screening of this cinema classic.

To celebrate the anniversary of this coming-of-age tale, Vue has announced a series of one-off showings at locations across the UK on Valentine’s Day, February 14. And The Ticket Lanarkshire has teamed up with our friends at Vue Hamilton to offer THREE lucky readers a pair of tickets to the showing. A whole generation fell in love with Dirty Dancing when it was released in the 80’s, and its timeless appeal ensures many more will fall in love with it in years to come.

Dirty Dancing follows the story of teenager Baby’s (Jennifer Grey) forbidden love affair with dance teacher Johnny (Swayze) as they meet while she is on a family vacation at Kellerman’s holiday resort in the Catskill Mountains.

Johnny mesmerises Baby with his dance moves, his passion and his misunderstood ‘bad boy’ image.

During the summer of 1963, Johnny teaches Baby how to dance. And, more importantly, how to love.

Over the course of the movie Johnny and Baby’s romance creates some of the most iconic silver screen love scenes as well as infamous dialogue – everybody knows that nobody puts Baby in the corner!

Dirty Dancing will be screened at Vue Hamilton on February 14 at 7.30pm.

To win tickets to the screening all you have to do is answer this simple question: What is the name of Patrick Swayze’s character in Dirty Dancing?

To enter email your answer with your name, address and daytime telephone number to andrea.oneill@ trinitymirror.com. Deadline for entries is Monday, February 13, 2017.
