A West Mains pensioner who assaulted his partner was admonished at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

Stuart Ferguson, of Lindores Drive, admitted hitting his victim on her head at an address in Drury Lane Court on September 13.

The 68-year-old was also admonished of breaching a court order banning him from contacting his victim or entering her Calderwood home. Ferguson committed the offence on October 10.
