Chris Erskine closed the gap on Craig Malcolm to 32

points at the top of the Star Tracker after grabbing his fifth league goal of the season in Partick Thistle’s 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock.

The Jags midfielder opened the scoring at Rugby Park and earned himself six points in total with goal and appearance points. He was docked a point for the goal concession.

That means he has edged closer to Malcolm in the bid to prevent the Stranraer striker from claiming our player of the year crown.

Malcolm collected just two points over the weekend as the Blues slumped to a 1-0 defeat at home to Livingston, leaving him on a total of 91

points for the season so far.

Jamie Longworth picked up a solitary point after coming on as a second half substitute in Alloa’s 0-0 draw with East Fife. The striker continues to hold on to third place with Mark McGuigan gaining slightly on him after Stranraer’s result. McGuigan earned two points for his display and is just six points off third place going into the final 10 games in Scotland’s lower leagues.

Alloa’s result helped Wasps keeper Neil Parry earn his fifth clean sheet of the season. He returned from injury to claim six points in total and strengthen his grip on fifth place, while steering clear of the bottom two players.

Meanwhile, Fraser Kerr saw his appearance points cancelled out after his goal concession in Stenhousemuir’s 1-0 defeat at Airdrie. He is on two points and nine clear of rock bottom Frazer Wright.

Wright made a brief substitute appearance for Stirling in their 1-0 win over Annan, but he wasn’t on the pitch long enough to earn clean sheet points. He remains on minus seven.
