Road closures affecting East Kilbride and Avondale: East Kilbride

JACKTON ROAD. Closed between Shields Road and Newlands Road until Friday to allow sewer connection works. Alternative route will be Shields Road, Auldhouse Road, Greenhills Road, Newlands Road.

Closed between Glen Urquart and High Common Road from 9am to 2.30pm on Sunday for Scottish Water works. Alternative route is High Common Road, Blacklaw Drive (South).

NEWLANDS ROAD. Closed between James Shepherd Grove and Dorniebank from Monday to Friday, April 3-7, for road maintenance works for the new housing development. Alternative route is via Newlands Road, Jackton Road, Eaglesham Road, Greenhills Road, Newlands Road.

Closed between Cantieslaw Drive and Cleland Place from Monday to Friday, April 3- 7, for services connection to new development.

AULDHOUSE ROAD. Closed between the roundabout with Shields Road/Lindsayfield Avenue and 30m south of Benthall Farm access until November 5 to allow works associated with the new housing development. Alternative route is via Auldhouse Road, Greenhills Road, A726 Strathaven Road, Thorn Highway, Millwell Road, Cleughearn Road, Auldhouse Road.

MEADOWHEAD HIGHWAY. Closed from Meadowhead Farm access to Cladence Highway to April 2018 due to the road being in an unsafe condition. Alternative route is via Cladence Highway, Millwell Road and Ardochrig Road. Strathaven
