First Minister Nicola Sturgeon wants to hold a poll by spring 2019 but Prime Minister Theresa May has refused to give her blessing to such a referendum.

On our Facebook page we asked if we should be going down this road again.

Stephen McCrimmon said:“Yes. Think about your children and grandchildren. Scotland has no voice in Westminster and once a hard Brexit happens Scotland won’t know what’s hit it!”

Clive Buchanan said:“No, not without a credible plan in place.

“The SNP are in a rush to put it

through in case Brexit proves to be a success; then they know they have no chance.”

Christopher Hannah said:“100 per cent yes. I have faith in our country’s ability to rule its self.”

Gareth Urquhart posted:“No thank you. When will we stop deluding ourselves that we have the resources to thrive as an independent nation?”

Ian Welsh said:“Yes, it’s time to be free of Westminster.

“We have to look after what is dear to our hearts.”

Derek Heslop added:“No, we had a vote, respect the decision.

“Independence would destroy our country.”

On Brexit, Lorna Jack said:“The majority of 18 to 24 year olds voted to Remain yet here they are being taken out. It’s their future not ours.”
