Pupils jazz it up
Calderglen take part in world event
An East Kilbride high school jazz band will perform at a prestigious event this weekend.
Calderglen High’s group are gearing up to make some noise at the UNESCO International Jazz gathering. Pupils will perform alongside a fantastic line-up of talented musicians.
A number of events are being held across 159 countries around the world for the sixth-annual UNESCO International Jazz Day. Headlining the event will be performances from the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra.
Calderglen’s students are scheduled to be on stage at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow from 1.10pm to 2pm on Sunday.
