A man accused of having a knife at Hairmyres Hospital failed to appear in the dock.

William Hilston, 21, was allegedly found in possession of the bladed weapon on July 27.

Hilston, of George Court, Hamilton was due to appear at the town’s sheriff court but failed to show up.

Case continued. Trial is set for May 2.
