Pupils get ready to vote
Youngsters at Calderglen High School who are eligible to vote at the forthcoming local elections have been getting lessons on the process.
The school was promoting awareness among 16- and 17-yearolds so that they could register to vote in the 2017 council elections which take place next month.
All pupils who are 16 or over on May 4 are eligible to vote.
A well-attended event in the school library gave pupils the opportunity to get online and register their details.
They join the 80,000 16- and 17-year-olds who voted in the last election.
