Fab Fords fired up

Retro Fords from all over the UK will challenge each other at one of the biggest weekends in the Blue Oval calendar this summer.

The Classic Ford Show takes place at the Santa Pod drag strip in Po ding ton, Bedford shire, on Sunday, June 4, and will host thousands of the best Fords in Britain, from both club exhibitors and individual entrants.

This year the show has a number of new features, including live evening entertainment for Saturday night campers and a Ford themed movie cinema.

And on the strip a new ‘FaceOff’ competition among the UK’s best-known Ford-based dragsters will be split into morning and afternoon sessions before the two fastest go head to head.

Another new drag strip feature is the Burnout Challenge, in which a selection of favourite and famous Fords attempt to create as much smoke as possible from their tyres.
