Amateur side reachlast four

Four goals from Dougie Ryan and an Ally Morgan strike ensured a semi-final spot in the Cinema Cup for East Kilbride Amateurs last week.

They beat Cambusneathan 5-2 to reach the last four.

Despite a dominant first half the teams were level at 1-1 with Ryan’s strike cancelled out by a penalty.

In the second half early goals for both sides made it 2-2, but EK found another level and Ryan took his tally to four before Morgan notched the final goal of the game.

Meanwhile, the Amateurs lost 3-1 to Eastfield a few days later in the league.

EK turned in one of their worst displays as Gillespie gave them the lead, only for Eastfield to storm back to win.
