Kid Jordan is aiming for the top at Rangers

- Paul Thomson

Mossneuk teenager Jordan Houston insists he wants to become the next big football name to come out of East Kilbride.

The 17-year-old defender is on the fringes of Rangers’first team and even made the bench against Dundee in a Scottish Premiership match earlier in the season.

Ibrox legend Ally McCoist, Derby star Craig Bryson and Hearts defender Jordan McGhee, currently on loan to Middlesborough, are just some of the EK residents to reach the top of the game in the town’s history.

And now Houston wants to reach those heights with Gers.

He told the News:“East Kilbride have had a lot of proud moments recently.

“I can only aim to add to that and hopefully I become a big name from East Kilbride.

“That’s my goal and hopefully it happens for me.”
