Vincent Downs (Jamie Foxx) is a cop in Las Vegas who has a complicated relationship with the law. But when his son is taken and held hostage, all the rules go out the window. His crooked partner asks him to steal some drugs, which they do. But what they don’t know is that the drugs belong to a crime family, the Novaks, who goes after anyone who crosses them – and Rob Novak (Scoot McNairy), the man who was handling the dru sale sets his sights on the man who sold him the drugs, casino boss Rubino (Dermot Mulroney). Rubino discovers Downs was the one who stole the drugs so he has Downs’ son abducted, leading him to scour a nightclub in search of his kidnapped son.
