Fight to remain as hub of business
UKIP would fight for much better representation in our council on behalf of South Lanarkshire’s citizens.
UKIP is one of the only parties who does not adopt a whip system for councillors.
This allows elected councillors to put people before party when it comes to local decisions.
All UKIP councillors would fight for lower council taxation, free hospital parking and would put every effort into representing every person no matter who they are or what they believe in.
They want to ensure East Kilbride maintains a vibrant town centre, remains competitive for businesses and they want East Kilbride to be an attractive place to work, live and relax in.
East Kilbride South candidate Conner Campbell is chairman of UKIP Young Independence and would make sure that his party fully represents the views of the local people – even from the top level.
They will fight for lower taxation, lower crime rates and will make sure that the construction of affordable council and private housing takes place immediately, with our locals being the first in line to obtain the newly-built accommodation.
It’s a disgrace that local people have to wait months for new council housing, especially those who pay into the system and work hard to make a living.
