Dr Lisa Cameron reckons voters don’t trust the Tories or Labour when it comes to fighting for Scotland over Brexit negotiations.
The SNP’s candidate for East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow attended Auldhouse fun day and had a Saturday stall at Strathaven’s Common Green.
She said:“The response on the doors has been fantastic regarding my constituency work in undertaking almost 7000 cases on your behalf and my leading on issues of mental health and disability in parliament.
“I met with Denis Curran once again to highlight the SNP Scottish Government’s policy of Trust dignity in welfare and to support Loaves and Fishes.
“People are clear that they do not trust the Tories or Labour to prioritise Scotland’s interests at the Brexit table. They agree that Labour’s Jeremy Corbyn lacks all leadership credibility.
“In our constituency, the Tories plan to close our HMRC which will result in the loss of thousands of local jobs which will devastate our economy so a vote for them only lends support to this aim.
“My belief in the need for ‘progress with compassion’is strengthened every day during this campaign – where we focus on creating jobs and livelihoods, where people do not have to rely on food banks, where disabled people are supported not punished and where pensions for old age, which you have paid into, are protected.
“For postal voters this week, the critical question must be: Who do you trust most to protect our NHS? Re-elect Dr Cameron on June 8.”
