LIB DEMS -
Paul McGarry has vowed to be committed to the community – and deliver on local issues.
The Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate has joined those campaigning for a new community centre in Lindsayfield.
And he wants infrastructure projects to accompany new housing developments across the East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow constituency.
Mr McGarry said:“Our campaign is focused on honesty, integrity and delivering on local issues.
“We are committed to seeing more homes built in East Kilbride but also that community is built alongside these massive developments. Community
“We want to see facilities such as schools, community centres and good infrastructure built at the heart of the community.
“This includes our campaign to build a community centre in Lindsayfield.
“With new developments in Strathaven, Lesmahagow and East Kilbride, it is essential that we maintain this charge.
“Together we can help grow East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow. Create new jobs, communities and help our local area thrive.
“I am committed to the community, involved in a local church, and have a record of campaigning in our community.”
Brexit and the prospect of a second referendum on Scottish independence are key themes during this election campaign.
Mr McGarry added:“The Scottish Liberal Democrats are the only party committed to the UK and the EU whilst the other parties will see those unions broken up.”
