Sean’s pulling power
Pupils at Halfmerke Primary went Batty when a special visitor popped in.
Telly weatherman Sean Batty joined in the fun with youngsters as the school raised money for the STV Children’s Appeal.
He took part in the tug o’war and the basketball shoot with kids and teachers.
The school also had a visit from Tunnock’s cake and biscuit-makers in a traditional van.
In six years, the appeal has raised £13.7 million.

STV weatherman Sean Batty joined in the fun with Halfmerke youngsters as the school raised money for the STV Children’s Appeal.
The school held an interhouse tug o’war event and sport activities fun morning and donated to the appeal.
Sean joined in with the tug o’ war and the basketball shoot with the children and teachers.
The school also had a visit from Tunnock’s cake and biscuit-makers in a traditional van.
The children raised £332.45 for the appeal.
The appeal was launched in 2011 by the Hunter Foundation and ST V to raise funds and to help make a real difference to those who need it most; by providing food and warm clothes, creating opportunities for training and employability and enabling social and emotional support.
In six years, the appeal has raised £13.7 million, making 722 awards across all 32 local authority areas in Scotland, providing support to over 62,000 children.
