Beer festival fun in Eaglesham

-

Eaglesham’s first and only beer festival returned with hundreds of people turning out to raise a glass at Saturday’s third-annual event.

Festival-goes were able to enjoy beers, wines and food, as well as live music and DJs.

They were also able to sample the festival’s very own beer –‘A Plum Dunk’.

It was produced in association with Drygate, a brewery based in Glasgow and is described as being a “classic hefeweizen”with a fruity twist.

Organiser Fraser Wilson told the News:“We are absolutely delighted with how this year’s event went.

“And we don’t have the words to express our gratitude to everyone who helped make it a success, not least our faithful festival-goers.

“I have no doubt that this was our best year yet but there were definitely some lessons to be learned so we can continue to get better – as there always is.”

Fraser continued:“We want to apologise to those caught up in the extremely large queue at the start of the day and thank them in equal measures for their patience and understanding.

“This was down to a technical glitch with our ticketing system, coupled with the large number of people who came so early on.

“We will definitely be exploring alternative ticketing and entry systems for next year so as to minimise the chance of this happening again.”
