a fantastic achievement. But then the Junior Cup is such an old trophy with a lot of history, so to win that would be amazing, too.

“I really don’t know what would be better but it won’t matter really if we get them both.

“I won a championship when I was playing in America and had a lot of big moments in my career, but to win two trophies here would be my number one achievement in football.

“The club haven’t won the Junior Cup since 1992, so it would be massive.

“The town is decked out in red and white and there’s flags everywhere.

“It’s great to see New Cumnock getting right behind us and hopefully we can go out and win the game.”

“I’m not so sure about that,” he said.

“It’s a one-off game, so you can’t really look at what’s happened before.

“It will come down to who has the bottle to go out and win on the day.

“I’m confident we can do it but I’m sure Talbot will be thinking the same.

“We’ve done really well against them this season. We haven’t lost, drawing one and winning two, but they are a big powerful side and can cause us problems.”

Sunday’s match at Rugby Park will kick-off at 4.15pm.
