East Kilbride boss Martin Lauchlan could be set to leave the club this week.

As the News went to press last night, Lauchlan had yet to meet with Kilby bosses to discuss his future and said no contact had been made to arrange a meeting over a new deal.

He has also been linked with the vacant manager’s role at League Two side Annan.

The 36-year-old’s current contract expires on Thursday and he is due to go on a family holiday to Marbella 24 hours later.

Following Sunday’s 4-2 win over Cumbernauld Colts in the South Challenge Cup Final, Lauchlan cast doubt over his future when he seemed irked that the club had yet to offer him a deal for next season.

He said: “I’ll need to sit down with the club for talks, but there’s been nothing done to extend my contract all season, despite winning performances, winning trophies and a 30-game run that beat Ajax’s world record.

This week the club informed the News they hoped to have at least 10 players signed up for next season by Tuesday night, with more than one new signing expected to be unveiled later this week.

They also stated that no dialogue had been made between the club and the first team until this week due to Kilby’s participation in the League Two play-offs and the uncertainty surrounding where the club would be playing their football next season.

They could not confirm when they would speak to Lauchlan, but stated it is their intention to do so.

Kilby midfielder Sean Winter, who hopes to sort out his future at the club before his wedding on Saturday, said: “It would be a big blow to lose Martin.

“As a player, you don’t always agree with his decisions or team selections, but you just have to look at the stats since he came in.

“We won 30 games in a row, we won two cups this season and we never lost a game in the SPFL play-offs. Only penalties stopped us from promotion.

“If he goes, the person coming in can’t do much better than him. They’d
