Pals treat hiker to Irn Bru, a chippie and his train fare!
A good samaritan who picked up a hungry hitchhiker stranded 400 miles from home has become an internet sensation.
East Kilbride binman James McCulloch was driving in Stirling when he spotted a lone man at the side of the road.
The big-hearted 24-yearold, and friend Andrew Morris, rushed to his aid and kindly offered to give the man a lift to the train station.
Upon arrival, James not only paid for his £150 fare home to England, he also treated him to a fish supper and some Irn-Bru.
The hitchhiker was Quentin Henderson, commonly known as the ‘Nevis Beeman’, who had been hillwalking in Orkney before getting lost and running out of cash.
Greenhills lad James filmed his cheeky conversation with Quentin as he pulled over to help and his hilarious banter earned him more than 200,000 views on Facebook.

After posting the clip of his good deed online, James shared a photo of his new pal proudly showing off two cans of ginger.
When asked if they’ll be keeping in touch, James added: “He’s got my number and phoned me saying that he was getting on the train but would need to hitchhike from there – I’ve not heard from him since.”
