An East Kilbride woman was named the Scottish Crossroads Carer of the Year.

Mrs Agnes Fleming of Greenhills was presented with the award at a special ceremony in Glasgow City Chambers.

An LA-based firm was starting production in East Kilbride.

Driz Knitting Inc were set to make leggings, slouch socks, leg warmers and booties and had invested £250,000.
