Hamilton gaffer Martin Canning was relieved Rakish Bingham’s sitter didn’t come back to haunt them.
While EK did have some big chances in the match, Accies dominated and their most glaring miss came when Bingham fired over from sixyards with the visitors holding a slender 1-0 advantage.
Canning said: “The one thing when you come to places like this is you’ve got to take your opportunities and we missed so many chances.
“For Rakish it’s one of those ones where you think you are going to score so you don’t concentrate and give it your full focus. I think that is a wee issue for everyone in front of goal at the moment.
“Overall I felt pretty comfortable in the game, but East Kilbride gave a good account of themselves.”
