16 COMPETITION Lots to keep the kids happy during break

Fill the summer hols with fun

-

It may be the school holidays but most adults do not have the luxury of lounging around at home, saying they are bored and asking“what can we do?” for the next four weeks.

Work and parenting can get in the way of relaxation so to help with the juggle of keeping the kids amused, the cupboards stocked and the wardrobe bang up-to-date, many shops in EK, East Kilbride offer latenight opening till 8pm on Thursdays and Fridays.

There is also free parking after 5pm on those days, as well as all day Sunday and for up to three hours on Saturdays, making that post-work or weekend shopping trip easier to fit in.

And if you need to plan a day out without the kids EK, East Kilbride can help out.

On August 5 the shopping centre is Hamilton Park Racecourse’s fashion partner for its fabulous Ladies Night.

During the day catwalk shows will highlight the latest fashions available at EK and Debenhams will showcase the latest scents and its personal shopping service.

Before then you can have an amazing day out with the family in the centre, with the kids getting to enjoy arts and craft sessions, character visits, ice skating, blockbuster movies, a climbing wall, soft play and Hi-Ride adventure course.

The centre is also a fantastic place to grab a bite to eat with many of The Hub, EK’s restaurants and cafes open until 10pm and a loyalty card available.

To help you combat the boredom of school holidays why not enter our competition to win a £50 gift voucher.

To be in with a chance of scooping the prize just fill in the coupon and send your entry to us by Monday at noon.
