East KilbrideYM’s sides have had a busy week with all teams getting a good pre-season workout.

Last Monday evening a mix of Caley and SAFL stars played out a 2 -2 draw with Barrhead Arkleston with Connor McCann and Stuart Gordon on target.

The following night Anthony Penman and Darren Litterick scored the goals as YM’s SAFL side defeated EK Thistle Amateurs 2-1.

Matches kept coming and last Wedn es dayYM’ sGGPL side narrowly lost 3-2 toEK Amateurs with Ross Anderson and Scott Campbell finding the net.

But on Saturday the G GP L team produced a good performanc­e to defeat NewtonAcci­es2-0.ScottCampb­elland Murray McClure were on target.

Also onSa turd ayYM’ s Ca leySAFL mixed team came from 2-0 down at half time to draw 2-2 with Mother well Thistle in what turned out to be a cracking match. Both teams had spells of superiorit­y and the standard of football played was outstandin­g at times.

The visitors scored very early and very late in the first half but in the second half YM came storming back with William Hastings leading the line well. He was up ended just outside the area but as the ball broke to Cam myMc Cu l loch he skipped past one defender and then beat the keeper all ends up a this near post to reduce the deficit.
