Keep looking tan-fastic after the hols

-

So the summer is over and our lovely, glowing tans are fading as fast as our holiday memories.

We all hate when we start to lose our healthy, golden hue. You start to feel washed out and dull after looking so fresh and natural during the summer months – especially after a sunshine holiday.

The last thing we want to do is plaster on the bronzer because we feel and look too made up in comparison to how we were on our hols.

Ideally we want to keep the texture of our skin light and glowing, but almost like we have no make up on... so salvage every bit of that fading tan. You could start using some self tan, which when applied well is amazing and makes you feel great.

But remember to keep your make up soft on top to let that lovely colour shine through.

My absolute favourite post holiday foundation is MAC Face and Body.

It’s so lightweight and sheer and it leaves your skin looking smooth and radiant.

You can afford to go a little darker with Face and Body because you can blend it out a little further and you will never see the join.

It’s so easy to apply too. Use a big stippling brush and basically buff it into the skin. The more you buff, the more you glow.

It’s fabulous and a big favourite with professional make up artists.

I use it on absolutely everyone to achieve a beautiful natural texture.

This really works a treat for brides if their skin is dehydrated and dull.

It’s available in two sizes and lasted for ages. I’ve found the shade N 3 to be great on most people, ocassionally going darker to N5 or much lighter to N1.

Good luck keeping that glow going.
