Electric cars can top up

Electric car owners are now benef i t i ng f ro m f re e f a s tc hargi ng f a c i l i t i e s at East Kilbride railway station.

The first of 50 chargers are now live at ScotRail Alliance stations – with the remainder set to follow over the coming weeks.

The chargers are available to all customers parking at t h e s t a t i o n s . A c o mpl e t e charge from the 22kW s uppl y wi l l t y pi c a l l y t a k e a r o und f o ur hour s, t wi c e a s f a s t a s ‘pl uggi ng- i n’ at home.

Joining t he chargers are a fleet of four electric vans, which have been leased as part of the ScotRail Alliance’s work to reduce our environmental impact.
