Unveiled at EK event

Season’s fashion show is a big hit

-

Hundreds of people picked up fashion inspiration at EK, East Kilbride’s autumn/ winter fashion shows at the weekend – but for those who didn’t make it along, here’s our guide to the key looks for the seasons.

From structured to flowing, vintage to romantic florals, dresses that can be worn day-to-night are a must. Add in some fancy tights and footwear and the transition from office to party will be a breeze.

The power suit has also made a return for ladies, which means we’ll be rocking a blazer at some point this autumn.

Accessorising with a belt will help you achieve another key trend that brings the waist into focus. Belts are being worn over jackets rather than under, cinching in our middles for an hourglass silhouette.

Talking of jackets, functionality and practicality shone through with waterproofs that can be rolled up and stuffed in our on-trend oversized bags.

Colder weather brings with it the need for some chunky knits with designers and high-street stores pairing jumpers and cardis with slouchy trousers and midi skirts on the catwalks.

Wanting to freshen up your look with make-up? Think two tone lips (one lip gloss, one lip matte), pink cheeks that make you look like you’ve just enjoyed a brisk walk in freezing temperatures, bold eyeliner (on both lids), and golden and bronze eyeshadow swept from lid to brow.

You can get all the latest looks at EK, East Kilbride.

Why not enter our competition to win a £50 EK, East Kilbride gift card?

Just fill in the voucher with your name, address and telephone number and send your entry to us by Monday at noon. All winners must agree to be photographed.
