Sweet treatsCeanna 031017greenburn_02 Parents of Greenburn Primary pupils dug deep at the weekend to help the school raise funds for a specialised bike.

The parent council held a table top sale, car wash and Alice in Wonderland-themed cafe at the Calderwood school on Saturday and collected more than £500.

The cash will be put towards a fund for a £4500 bike for children with additional support needs and mobility issues, including wheelchair users.

Head teacher Helen Nicol praised the group for all their efforts and said: “We had a great day. The kids really enjoyed it.

“A big thank you to organisers Susanne Bogan, Deborah Boyce and Claire Breingan for all their hard work. They are super.”
