Plans were unveiled for a huge rezoning project to battle overcrowding in East Kilbride’s schools.
Overcrowding was becoming an issue in areas including Greenhills with parents contacting councillors to call for action.
Pupils at Greenhills Primary were being transferred to nearby Castlefield Primary as a result.
However, some parents were wary about the proposal.
In other news, Claremont Boys’ Club were looking to kick-off a footballing revolution in the town with a new pitch.
The 200-strong club were hoping to take over wasteland as part of an ambitious plan aimed at boosting footballing talent produced in the town.
