Jags to play away until December

- Paul Thomson

East Kilbride Thistle fans will have to wait until at least December to see their side in action at the Showpark.

The Jags’clash with Lesmahagow on Saturday fell victim to a waterlogged pitch and Alan Paterson’s men now face a series of away fixtures in both the Central District First Division and cup competitions.

League visits to Blantyre on November 18 and then Glasgow Perthshire on November 25 are also scheduled ahead of their next fixture date on December 2.

The opposition and where that game will be played has yet to be announced.

Jags boss Paterson said: “It might be good to get a few games on before the bad weather comes in and give our park the help it needs.

“These are all good surfaces we are due to play on, so as long as we get the games played I don’t mind.”
