Charity finds pregnant cat wandering woods
Have you lost Faith?
Are you missing a feline friend?
A pregnant cat found wandering in woods in East Kilbride has been rescued by the Scottish SPCA.
The animal welfare charity swung into action after being alerted to a wooded area near Laurel Drive in Greenhills.
A member of the public discovered the lost grey pet looking disorientated.
It is believed the stray, which has been named Faith by SSPCA staff, could have recently given birth or could be expecting a litter of kittens.
And the cat’s owner has this week been asked to come forward.
SSPCA Lanarkshire animal rescue and rehoming centre manager Peter Fleming says the cat is in a healthy state.
“The wee girl seems to be in relatively good condition,” he said.
“However, she does have mammary development so may have recently had a litter of kittens or be expecting.
“Faith, as she’s been named by staff, is receiving veterinary attention for her ears but is otherwise fit and healthy.”
