David from West Mains

Dad-of-two David Smith set up home in East Kilbride 20 years ago.

The 61-year-old HMRC worker was attracted to the town for its schools and house prices.

And he describes EK as simply the perfect place to grow up.

David from West Mains told the News:“East Kilbride has really nice neighbourhoods and lots of places to go walking.

“Calderglen is a special place – it’s amazing in the summer and I love the wee zoo. The heritage loch is also beautiful.

“It feels a very safe town too with plenty of police.”
