Pupils donate to food bank
Mossneuk Primary School pupils gave a much-needed boost to a local food bank at their harvest assembly.
Youngsters and staff donated items to the Loaves and Fishes charity.
Depute head teacher Heather Goring told the News: “Some of our P7 pupils helped with leading the assembly by narrating and acting out the story of the Enormous Turnip.
“It was great to see how, as a school community, we’ve all worked together and played our part in helping those who are in need of help and really put our school values of teamwork and kindness into action.
“Denis Curran MBE was delighted to receive our donations and we know that they’ll be put to good use to help families across East Kilbride.”
