Get ready to ‘Shout’ for legendary singer Lulu

-

It’s time for Motherwell to ‘Shout’ once again.

Back by popular demand, the legendary Lulu is embarking on the biggest-tour of her incredible career. And now the singer is going to relight the fire at Motherwell Concert Hall as she stops by on Thursday, November 9. Lulu last performed to a packed Motherwell Concert Hall in April last year, with the crowd singing along to every word. Performing smash hits from a career spanning over 50 years, fans can expect to hear classics such as ‘Shout’, ‘To Sir With Love’, ‘Relight My Fire’ and ‘The Man Who Sold The World’.

The tour, entitled ‘All About the Music’ gives the audience the chance to get up and personal with the Scots singer.

After a ten year period away from the live scene, the release of Lulu’s most critically acclaimed album todate, ‘Making Life Rhyme’, sparked the most prolific touring period of her entire career.

After the album was launched in 2015, Lulu kicked off sell-out tours for the following two years.

Lulu said: “I absolutely love playing live and can’t wait to be out on the road again in autumn this year.

“My life has always been all about the music, so come and join me again or for the first time and let’s have a great night of music.

“It is certainly the longest tour. They keep adding dates but the promoters are thrilled and my management is thrilled.

“It’s fantastic and I say that with humility, not with a big fat ego, but I’m grateful.”

Lulu shot to fame with ‘Shout’ in 1964 before her performance of ‘Boom Bang-a-Bang’ at the Eurovision launched her on a worldwide scale.

The Lennoxtown-born singer has also had the prestigious honour of performing a soundtrack to a James Bond movie – ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’.

But that wasn’t the 68-year-old’s only foray into film, having starred on the big and small screen as well as hosting her own radio show.

Tickets will go fast for next Thursday’s concert so to book a place to see ‘Lulu – All About the Music’ at Motherwell Concert Hall contact 01698403120.
