Man denies sexually abusing girls and recording women in bathroom

A man accused of sexually abusing young girls over an eight-year period appeared in the dock.

Joseph White appeared from custody at Hamilton Sheriff Court and denied a string of charges. He is next due to appear today.

White denied sexually assaulting a two-year-old girl at an address in East Kilbride on various occasions between July 2 and July 18 this year.

White also denied taking or permitting to be taken or making a quantity of indecent photos or psuedo-photos of children at the same address between July 11 and July 18 this year.

He went on to plead not guilty to being in possession of indecent photos on July 18.

The 30-year-old, whose address was given as HMP Addiewell, also denied a charge of voyeurism on various occasions between October 12, 2016 and July 18 this year at an address in East Kilbride.

It is alleged he digitally recorded two women in a bathroom without their consent.

White further pled not guilty to using lewd and libidinous practices towards a 10-year-old girl between February 1, 2009 and November 30, 2016 at various addresses in East Kilbride by allegedly touching her on intimate areas.

White denied two further charges of sexually assaulting the 10-year-old between December 1, 2010 and March 3, 2012 and March 4 and October 31, 2012.

And a plea of not guilty was entered to a charge of exposing his private parts to the girl on an occasion between January 1 and August 31, 2012.
