Teenager indock

Being accused of brandishing a hammer and struggling with police landed a teenager in the dock.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denied stealing booze from Scotmid in Hawkwood, Whitehills, on October 7.

He went on to plead not guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on the same date at Parkfield, Whitehills.

He is also accused of assaulting a cop by headbutting him, shouting and swearing, uttering threats and brandishing the hammer.

Trial was set for February 1, 2018, with an interim hearing on January 8.
