Litter louts East Kilbride councillor Collette Stevenson has blasted litter louts for making a mess in the town’s Murray Square.

“Greenhills is awful. People don’t bother. We were always taught to put rubbish in our pockets until we got home then put it in a bin.”

Tributes to Alan

Folk passed on their condolences following the news that Rangers fan and ex-East Kilbride Thistle giant Alan McTurk, 61, died while on a family holiday in Spain.

Wilma Munro said:“Rest in Peace. Thoughts to all the family. Such a gentleman.”

Sandra Aitken added:“Such a gentle giant and a gentleman.”
