-

EKRR are celebrating after continuing their sponsorship deal with The Village Inn.

The club have enjoyed the backing of Village Inn owner Paul Jardine for the past nine years and he has extended his support to the local amateur team for another season.

Forced to rename the club EKRR from EK Rolls-Royce when the aerospace giant left the town last year, The Rolly are enjoying a good season.

They currently sit in mid-table in the Premier Division of Scottish Amateur Football League and are through to the quarter-finals of the Jimmy MarshallTrophy.

EKRR have eight teams playing under their banner, including seven youth teams ranging from under 5’s to under 17’s.

Club secretary Colin Thomson said:“We would like to thank The Village Inn for their sponsorship and continued support.

“Our sponsorship with Paul Jardine and the Village Inn goes back nine years, with Paul and the staff providing great support to the club over those years.

“He has supported The Rolly through thick and thin at both amateur and youth level, and this is something which we as a club are very grateful for.

“The aim of the club is to see a steady progression of young talent coming through the ranks.

“We aim to give our players a safe and enjoyable environment to play football, with the ultimate goal of filling the amateur side with players who understand The Rolly philosophy.

“This sponsorship allows us to continue this.”
