Charity November’s Remembranc­e Sunday retiral offering at Carmunnock Parish Church raised an amazing £240, it has been confirmed. The Carmunnock Branch of the Royal British Legion have passed this amount to Poppy Scotland and thank all those who contribute­d to the collection.

Meeting The hall committee will again be presenting a musicality evening with “Musicals on your Door”. This will feature songs from the shows by the Theatre Guild, Glasgow. Tickets are now on sale and are £6 each including a glass of wine. The show is on Thursday, March 29 at 7pm for 7.30pm. Tickets are available from any committee member.

Fitness A new pilates class has started up on Wednesday mornings in the Clason Hall at 10am. If you would like to improve your wellbeing, go along and find out all about it. You may also make new friends.

Plant sale Once again, the Carmunnock Guides will be hold their Great Carmunnock Plant Sale. There will be the usual coffee morning in the Clason Hall on Saturday, May 19. Orders must be placed before Friday, May 4 and should be passed to Sandra Hawkins on (0141) 237 4225. There will be a wide range of bedding plants and other plants to choose from. All profits will go to Carmunnock Parish Church.

Autumn Club The Autumn Club speaker today will be Ian Lowden. Ian has spoken to the club before and was well received. There will also be news on this year’s annual bus outing on Wednesday, May 9 to Castle Douglas. Cost is £16 and includes high tea.
