Duo to stand trial

Two men are to stand trial accused of assaulting a man with weapons in Westwood.

Joseph Llewellyn, 18, of Winnipeg Drive, and 24-year-old Scott Llewellyn, of White Horse Walk, are alleged to have struck the man on the body with a knife, thrown a brick at him, chased and threatened him with violence, to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

It is claimed the alleged offence happened at Belmont Drive on September 17, 2016.

The pair denied the charge when the case was called at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday. Proceedings were continued to trial on April 30.
