Assault in shop

A biker is being hunted by police after a Westwood shopkeeper was attacked while asking for ID.

A man pushed the male shopkeeper in the face at Shop and Save in Leeward Circle after being asked to remove his motorcycle helmet.

An argument ensued when the suspect, who was trying to buy alcohol, refused to take it off to reveal his age and identity.

The shopkeeper suffered redness to the face during the assault which took place at around 4.40pm on Wednesday, March 14. The suspect then fled.
