Thinking of the farmers

Dear Editor,

It was hard not to feel for the farmer in last week’s News who told how he had to throw thousands of litres of milk down the drain due to the bad weather (What a waste, March 14).

We are too wrapped up in our own problems of getting from A to B that we don’t spare a thought for those who put milk in our fridges and food on our plates. I wish all our farmers well. Name and address supplied
