and do my best to make East Kilbride and Scotland proud,” she insists.

“But anything can happen on that stage. I wouldn’t rule anything out.”

Meanwhile, Corrie Scott is aiming to build on her 2014 appearance, where she won bronze in the 50m breastroke.

The 21-year-old student will go for glory in the 50m over days one and two in Australia before bidding for medals in the 100m breaststroke and 4x100m medley relay later in the week.

“Glasgow was an unbelievable experience and one that I will never forget,”said Corrie (pictured below).

“It was such an amazing feeling to stand on the podium representing my country. An experience like that has really helped me on tough days of training to keep going and make sure I’ve done everything in my power to get that feeling again.

“But I’m now looking forward to Gold Coast rather than looking back at Glasgow and making sure that I’ve learnt from my previous experiences to make me a better swimmer.

“I’m trying to relax and not put too much pressure on myself in terms of outcome goals as I always perform at my best when I’m relaxed, happy and confident.

“My target is always to be better and faster than I’ve ever been before.

“I’m feeling relaxed, confident and ready to go.”
