Comic fans set for Marv-ellous weeks
New Avengers film almost here
The day that all Marvel fans have been waiting for is nearly upon us.
Have your shield, web shooters and disguise at the ready – Avengers: Infinity War lands this week.
One of the most anticipated films of all time, the epic movie sees the arrival of Thanos, one of the most powerful beings in the cosmos, and fans can watch the Avengers try to stop him in the luxurious surrounds of the Odeon Luxe East Kilbride.
The first showing takes place at 12.01 am tomorrow. Tickets can be booked now.
For those who love collecting memorabilia – and for kids too young to see the movie – the Disney Store is jam-packed with awesome toys, costumes, and homewares that celebrate the Marvel universe.
Booklovers can also either pick up or order in store a whole host of Marvel reading material – from the amazing art of the movie hardbacks to comics, sticker books, and encyclopaedias.
Then on Saturday, May 5, from 11am until 4pm in East Kilbride Central Library, fans can visit the fourth East Kilbride Comic Con – organised by The Big Glasgow Comic Page.
Over 1500 people attended the event in 2017 and this year there will be over 40 traders, workshops, competitions, and the chance to have your photo taken with a number of characters. Entry is £2; Under-10s go free.
Marvel fans should enter into our competition to win a £50 EK, East Kilbride gift card to help cover the cost of a cinema visit or shopping trip to Disney or Waterstones.
To be in with a chance of scooping this great prize, just fill in the voucher with your name, address and telephone number and send your entry to us by Monday at noon.
All winners must agree to be photographed.
Good luck!
