Road closures affecting East Kilbride and Avondale:
East Kilbride ■ CLUTHA PLACE / NEW PLYMOUTH. Closed from Newlands Road to Westwood Hill from 7am on Monday, April 30 to 7pm on Friday, May 4 for carriageway surfacing. Alternative route via Newlands Road and Westwood Hill. ■ A726 GLASGOW SOUTH ORBITAL (GSO). Closed westbound between Belle Craig roundabout and Philipshill Interchange for carriageway resurfacing from 8pm on Tuesday, May 1 to 6am on Wednesday, May 2 and from 8pm on Wednesday, May 2 to 6am on Thursday, May 3. Alternative route is via A726 Queensway, B764 Eaglesham Road, Gilmour Street and B767 Glasgow Road. ■ A726 QUEENSWAY. Closed between West Mains roundabout and Philipshill Interchange for carriageway resurfacing from 8pm on Thursday, May 3 to 6am on Friday, May 4 and 8pm on Friday, May 4 to 6am on Saturday, May 5. Alternative route is via A726 GSO, Redwood Drive and B764 Eaglesham Road. ■ HEATHERY KNOWE. Closed southbound between Strathcona Place and The Murray Road to 5pm on Friday, April 27 for footway repairs. Diversion via Livingstone Drive, Cullen Road and The Murray Road. ■ GLEN FARRAR. Closed between Blacklaw Drive and its termination at No 61 to 7pm on Friday, April 27 for carriageway resurfacing.
Auldhouse ■ MEADOWHEAD HIGHWAY. Closed between Meadowhead Farm access and Cladence Highway from Friday, April 13 to Monday, Octobeer 12, 2020 for road safety reasons. Diversion via Cladence Highway, Millwell Road and Ardochrig Road.
Strathaven ■ C122. Strathaven to Glassford road closed between Berebriggs Road and Hills Road on Monday, May 7 and Tuesday, May 8 for road surfacing works associated with East Overton housing development. Alternative route via C122 Strathaven to Glassford road, Millar Street, Alston Street, Jackson Street, Station Road, Bents and Station Highway, A723 Strathaven to Hamilton road, A723 Hamilton Road, Glassford Road and vice versa. ■ LOUDON STREET. Closed between A723 Commercial Road and The Ward from Monday, May 14 Tuesday, May 29. Alternative route via A723 Barn Street and Waterside Street and vice versa. ■ THOMSON STREET. Closed at its junction with Kirk Street from Monday, May 21 to Friday, May 25 for road maintenance works. Alternative route via Townhead Street and Kirk Street and vice versa. ■ A723 HAMILTON ROAD. Closed between Aspen Place and A723 Commercial Road over the following times – only small sections of the road will be closed at any one time: Wednesday, May 30 to Thursday, June 7; Monday, June 11 to Thursday, June 14; Monday, June 18 to Sunday, July 8. ■ A723 COMMERCIAL ROAD. Closed between A723 Hamilton Road and Loudon Street from Monday, July 9 to Wednesday, August 15 – only small sections of the road will be closed at any one time. Alternative route via A72/A724 to Burnbank, High Blantyre Road, Main Street, A725 East Kilbride Expressway/ Kingsway, A726 to Strathaven, A723 Commercial Road and vice versa.
Glassford ■ ALSTON STREET. Closed between Millar Street and Muirburn Road from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, June 16 for Glassford Gala Day.
