A youngster from Glassford Primary enjoyed a ‘Kool Ride 2 Skool’ with her delighted classmates thanks to her quick wit.

Caroline Hall, a primary two pupil, won the Clyde 1 competition after telling a joke the previous week live on the radio.

The prize was a ride to school in the Clyde Valley Limos Gold Edition Bonkers Bus.

The large bus is fitted out like a party room – with loud music and disco lights. And it arrived blaring out the Neil Diamond classic ‘Sweet Caroline’.

Caroline and her 15 pals then boarded the bus for a trip round the Glassford area – stopping halfway for a glass of fizzy juice.

They were then met at school by Bonnie – the 2018 Glasgow European Championships mascot – and everyone enjoyed posing for more photos.

Later on, Bonnie came back to school along with her minder Gavin for a special assembly about the European Championships before handing out achievement certificates.

Glassford Primary would like to thank DJ George Bowie, Amber and Clyde 1 for what has been described as a “fantastic memorable trip”.
