Ramblers hotfoot it to Lendalfoot
St Leonards Rambling Club headed to South Ayrshire recently.
Members stopped off at the Dowhill Farm shop for coffee and a comfort stop before heading down to the start of their excursions.
The low walkers started their route at Pinwherry and followed the River Stinchar as far as Colmonell, where they stopped for a 30-minute lunch break.
When they moved off again, the group crossed the river and passed through the village before joining a single track road to the end of the walk at Lendalfoot.
In total, members covered a distance of 7.5 miles.
The high walkers started their walk at Sixpence and followed a longer and steeper path to Colmonell where they also stopped for lunch.
The second half of their outing was the same route as the low walkers had previously taken.
After changing out of their walking boots, the ramblers spent an hour in Girvan enjoying refreshments during their social stop.
The next walk will be in Fife at Lower Largo. The low walk is 7.5 miles, climbing 200ft, and the high walk is 9.5 miles, climbing 939 ft.
