Pirates beaten

East Kilbride Pirates’nightmare start to the season continued on Sunday as they lost to Sheffield Giants for the second time in four weeks.

Ross Templeton’s team are still searching for their first win of the season after losing to nil against the Giants on the opening day and falling to a shock 28-27 defeat at home to Edinburgh Wolves last week.

Sunday’s 39-0 defeat in Sheffield leaves Pirates bottom of the Premier North table and they now have a few weeks to wait before they can put the result behind them.

Their next fixture is at home to Manchester Titans on June 3.
